Police bomb, arson unit investigating fires

April 5, 2009 (CHICAGO) It all happened in the 3000 block of South Springfield. High winds caused the flames to spread from one home to the other three.

Firefighters had to rescue a pregnant woman and her baby. Both were injured and taken to the hospital.

The Red Cross is assisting 29 people who were displaced by the fire. There was no word Sunday evening on a cause of the fire. However, the Chicago police bomb and arson unit is investigating.
