Ill. State Troopers crack down on speeding

Illinois State Troopers are cracking down on drivers who speed through construction zones.State troopers will be perched in a marked van armed with a radar gun.

The troopers are looking for drivers who don't obey reduced speed limits and other work zone laws. Violators can expect a ticket in the mail.

Work zone fines start at $375 dollars and carry a mandatory court appearance.

Officials promise multiple troopers will be stationed in virtually every work zone throughout the state.
