April 7, 2009 (ADDISON, Ill.) --
Driscoll Catholic High School was packed again on Tuesday night as students, parents and faculty try to find a way to keep the school open.Volunteers laid out the steps needed to convince the Christian Brothers of the Midwest to keep Driscoll running. The main goal is fundraising.
Organizers plan to follow the steps taken by another high school which avoided shutting its doors three years ago.
Declining enrollment and financial issues are the reasons the Christian Brothers announced plans to close.
Driscoll has been an athletic powerhouse for decades.
