Couple injured after McDonald's sign falls on car

April 16, 2009 Russell and Carolyn Janke were on their way back to suburban Naperville from their winter home near Tucson.

Sixty mile an hour winds blew over the giant sign as the couple sat in their SUV. They were knocked unconscious and suffered multiple injuries.

Carolyn was trapped and had to be cut out of the vehicle. A relative says Carolyn is in intensive care at a Phoenix hospital.

Russell was treated for head injuries.
