April 17, 2009 (CHICAGO) --A South Side fire leaves one woman injured and forces up at least a dozen residents out of their homes early Friday. Flames first broke out after 2:30 a.m. in a house, in the 8000-block of South Paulina. It spread to two adjacent buildings.
It took over an hour to put out the fire. A 36-year-old resident suffered from smoke inhalation.
All of the buildings had working smoke detectors.
