An evaluation commission of the International Olympic Committee wrapped its visit to Tokyo Sunday. That city is one of Chicago's competitors to host the 2016 summer Olympic Games.

IOC officials praised Tokyo's concept for the event. The evaluation commission's chairman described Tokyo as dynamic and said the group was impressed with compactness of the concept.

The committee would not comment on Tokyo's weakest point. Members also would not offer any comparisons to the Chicago inspection two weeks ago.

This weekend, the head of the Japanese Olympic Committee told the IOC his country will live up to its promise to fully fund the Games.

The inspection team is heading to Rio de Janiero next, and their final stop is Madrid.
