April 29, 2009 --A major toy retailer will soon sell food and household items. Toys "R" Us is opening what it calls "R" Markets in 260 of its nearly 600 stores nationwide. They will offer a number of products like paper goods, cleaning supplies, laundry detergents, canned goods, juice, snacks and cereal.
The in-store markets will also carry more brands of infant products, like diapers and formula.
Toys "R" Us plans to open more "R" Markets nationwide by the end of this year.
