She spoke at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists annual clinical meeting at McCormick Place.
The actress talked about her own battle with uterine cancer and how it took a long time for her to get a correct diagnosis.
"I had symptoms that went on for two years and eight doctors, up and down the road I was misdiagnosed for a peri-menopausal condition I didn't have," said Drescher.
