Botox could ease foot pain

May 7, 2009 Doctors in Taiwan have found Botox injections can help ease the pain.

Researchers tested the treatment in 18 patients with type-2 diabetes who had nerve-related pain in both feet. The patients were randomly assigned to get injections of Botox or saline.

After 12 weeks each group received the opposite treatment. Forty-four percent of patients reported a significant reduction in pain after getting Botox treatments.
