Vibration machines may fight fat

May 8, 2009 A new study finds vibration platforms may help people lose the harmful deep hidden fat that surrounds the abdominal organs and is linked to type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.

Researchers from the University of Antwerp in Belgium conclude that it would be good to combine aerobic exercise with whole body vibration in a weight loss program.

These vibrations make muscles rapidly contract, which builds lean muscle mass, and it's touted as a more effective method of resistance training.

Nevertheless, it's true value has remained unclear.
