May 9, 2009 (CHICAGO) --A woman was rescued Saturday from a fire that left her seriously injured on the city's West Side.The victim was in an apartment at 200 North Kostner when the fire broke out late Friday night. She suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to Mount Sinai hospital.
Saturday, the woman was listed in serious but stable condition.
Firefighters say they kept the flames from spreading, but the building was filled with smoke.
No one else was hurt.
