Fallen police officers honored

May 13, 2009 (WASHINGTON) U.S. Attorney General Eric holder delivered the keynote address at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.

The names of five Chicago area police officers were added to the memorial. They are Frank Russo of Schaumburg. Also Chicago Constable James Quinn who died in 1853. And Chicago police department officers who died in the past year, Richard Francis, Nathaniel Taylor, Junior and Joseph Airhart, Junior.

"The public should know we're there for them, not only did we lose heroes, they lost heroe," said Officer Michael Ostrowski, Chicago Police Department.

This is the 21st annual candlelight vigil at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial.
