The sticker which goes on sale online this Wednesday has several new features, including residential parking, which is now included so there is no need for a vehicle owner to have a second sticker. Also, each sticker is custom printed with license plate information on it.
The new sticker is expected to save the city money.
"These modernization efforts save the city of Chicago money. We anticipate an annual savings of nearly $140,000.00 along with reducing countless hours of staff overtime which is important to note in these tough times," said City Clerk Miguel Del Valle.
You can buy city sticker in person beginning June 1.
