A Chicago police dog was reunited on Tuesday with the man who discovered him roaming in the woods over the weekend.The German shepherd named Bear was outdoors when he was startled by a clap of thunder last Wednesday night. He jumped over a fence and disappeared.
Howard Overton spotted the dog in Evergreen Park and flagged down an officer who caught the dog.
"I feel good, and I'm glad that he is home no one hurt him and he's in good shape," said Howard Overton.
Overton received a $2,000 reward for his help in locating Bear.
