Alderman gets license back, DUI charge stands

Alderman Sharon Dixon is allowed to drive again, but she still faces a charge of driving under the influence. A judge ruled Thursday that the 24th Ward alderman's license was improperly suspended when she was arrested for drunk driving back in January.

Dixon's drivers license was taken away when she refused to take a breathalyzer test following a traffic stop. Dixon admits to drinking two glasses of wine earlier in the evening but says she was not drunk.

As she was driving home, Dixon says, a squad car pulled out in front of her forcing her to swerve.
