Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States. More than 1 million cases are diagnosed each year. It's important to take precautions to protect yourself from harmful UV rays. Everyone, no matter their skin color, should practice sun safety, such as using sunscreen and sunblock.

You should also see a dermatologist annually to get a skin cancer screening.

The Skin Cancer Foundation's road to healthy skin tour will be in the Chicago offering free screenings. You can stop by next Wednesday, May 27, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Oak Brook Family Recreation Center, 1450 Forest Gate Road.
