The Illinois Senate sent legislation expanding gambling in the state to the House. Saturday night, the Senate approved legislation that calls for four additional casinos in Illinois and allows existing casinos to add up to 800 slot machines.

The new casinos would be in Chicago, Rockford, Lake County, and Danville.

Opponents of the measure say it makes the state too dependent on gambling revenues.
