Chicago school closes after H1N1 flu case

June 1, 2009 (DES PLAINES, Ill.) The principal of perspective charter school's calumet campus barred students from attending classes on Monday.

The building is located at 81st and May.

A student there contracted the H1N1 flu.

Chicago Public School officials say the principal closed the campus for one day.

As of Monday, there are 1,148 H1N1 flu cases in Illinois. Four hundred and twenty seven of those are in Chicago.

There are 816 cases in all of Cook County.
