The Indiana Republican Party and Daniels' campaign committee sent an e-mail to supporters urging them to attend a legislative hearing Thursday and tell lawmakers to support Daniels' plan.
A special bipartisan budget committee will meet all day to hear public testimony about Daniels' budget, which relies heavily on federal stimulus money to give public schools a funding boost and would use about a quarter of the state's reserves. Thursday afternoon, lawmakers are expected to hear Daniels' plan for fixing the cash-strapped agency that runs Indianapolis sports stadiums.
Lawmakers are preparing for a special budget-writing legislative session staring June 11.
