Starbucks overcharges 1M customers

Starbucks confirms that it mistakenly overcharged about a million of its customers. The coffee shop chain says it inadvertently double charged customers at more than 7,000 stores on Memorial Day weekend.

Starbucks says most customers may not have realized they were double charged because it didn't occur until the stores were processing card transactions at closing.

Starbucks blames the mistake on a settlement processing error and says it quickly corrected the problem.
