June 11, 2009 (CHICAGO) --A Chicago man was convicted of a felony weapons charge Thursday, nine months after being caught with a gun outside President Barack Obama's house on the South Side.Omhari Sengstacke, 31, told police he wanted to talk with then-Senator Obama about a job when he tried to cross a security barrier last September. The gun was found in Sengstacke's car. He is the grandson of former Chicago defender/publisher John Sengstacke.
Sengstacke faces up to seven years in jail. Sentencing is scheduled for July 10.
