Teen accused in fatal crash gets community service

Darius Moore, 19, was charged with reckless homicide and driving drunk.

Moore was with three other teenagers when a car he was driving crashed through a guardrail and flipped over several times in a ravine alongside Chase Street in Gary. Two of his friends were thrown from the vehicle.

Police were criticized because investigators did not find their bodies until several hours after the crash.

Moore admitted to reckless homicide and was ordered to complete 200 hours of community service.
