Ex-doctor convicted of molesting back in jail

June 25, 2009 (ROCHESTER, Ind.) A probation officer told a Fulton County judge on Wednesday that Paul Hess violated probation rules by having a computer with Internet access and being suspended from a sex offender rehabilitation program.

Hess pleaded guilty last year to the child molesting, which happened in 1980 and 1981 after the girl was hired to clean Hess' home and office in Rochester. Hess wasn't arrested until 2007 when the FBI located him in Michigan City.

Defense attorney Richard Oren argued for Hess to remain free, saying he isn't a flight risk because of heart problems and has not missed any probation appointments.
