City vehicle stickers to expire

June 30, 2009 (CHICAGO) The current ones expire Tuesday. But the good news is there is a two-week grace period for people to purchase and display the stickers. They're sold at City Hall and other vendors across the city.

Failure to display a vehicle sticker is subject to a $120 fine.

There are some changes to this year's stickers. Motorists who live in residential parking zones will find their zone number printed on their sticker, eliminating the need for a second sticker.

As an added security measure, license plate information is now included on most stickers. Residents must know their license plate number when purchasing their sticker

Other new security features include new barcode technology and reflective particles.
