SW suburb gets new fire station

There's a new state of the art fire station in the Southwest Suburbs. Fire and local officials in Chicago Ridge dedicated the new facility with a ribbon cutting ceremony this morning. It's located in the 1000 Block of Virginia Avenue. The building took about a year to complete. Construction began last summer in August of 2008. The new facility cost $5 million to build. It houses 19 full-time firefighters
