On Tuesday night, police confirm that a man and woman were shot. Both are hospitalized in stable condition.
So far authorities are not identifying either the victims or the person of interest.
"We have a male in custody who has been a known acquaintance of both of the victims. And we are pursuing that line of questioning at this point," said Chief Ignacio Pena, Channahon Police.
This is the first time the Will-Grundy Major Crimes Task Force shared by those counties has been called out to help local police.
