Police investigate possible abduction

A possible abduction may have occurred on July 6 in a parking lot of an Elgin fast food restaurant, according to police.Witnesses to the alleged abduction told police they saw two girls walk outside a Steak and Shake on 290 S. Randall Rd. As the girls walked to their car, a red minivan allegedly pulled up and dragged one of the girls into the vehicle.

According to police, the girl who was possibly abducted is between 18 and 22 years old and has blond hair that was pulled back. She was wearing white shorts, a spaghetti strap shirt, flip flops, and is the possible owner of a silver sporty two-door car with tinted windows. The second subject is described to be between 18 and 22 years old with blond hair. She was wearing a black sweater with a white t-shirt, black shorts, a black winter cap and flip flops.

The Elgin police have not located the alleged victim or the girl she was with during the incident.
