Coke unveils hybrid trucks

The company unveiled a fleet of new hybrid trucks in Chicago.

Coke announced Friday the addition of 10-new hybrid electric delivery trucks to its fleet in Chicago. The bright red vehicles promise to improve fuel consumption by 30-percent and reduce emissions by 30-percent.

The hybrid trucks also are quieter when idling in traffic.

Mayor Daley says the vehicles are good for the environment and for Chicago, which he said is third in the nation among all local government purchases of green power.
