July 14, 2009 --We know being heavy is not good for our bodies and that extra weight can take a toll on our joints. But there's new insight as to why obesity can lead to arthritis. Doctors involved in the study noted that weight was the biggest factor in cartilage loss and that taking off pounds is probably the best way to combat the condition.
