July 14, 2009 (CHICAGO) --Executives from the Chicago Cubs met with a longtime former equipment manager who was escorted from Wrigley Field by security. About two weeks ago, 88-year old Yosh Kawano stopped by Wrigley Field to visit members of the grounds crew. The team was out of town that day and security asked him to leave -- reportedly out of concern for his well being.
Security guards apologized but Kawano is said to have been upset by the action.
Cubs executives say they were unaware of what happened and let Kawano know that he is always welcome.
