Stroger orders release of cell phone records

July 20, 2009 On Monday night, Stroger ordered the release of several cell phone records, including his own.

Cole was a busboy at a downtown steakhouse when Stroger hired him as a county employee. He eventually made over $60,000 a year. But he was fired in April after it was learned that he lied about his criminal history on his job application.

Stroger decided to turn over the cell phone records after the Better Government Association filed suit to obtain them.

The BGA hopes to have the cell phone records on Tuesday.
