Three men were charged in connection with the robbery of a currency exchange employee on the city's North Side. Prosecutors say Trumaine Smith, Shaun Reynolds and Michael Brown also led police on a high speed chase.

A currency exchange employee was robbed Monday morning in the 3400 block of West Foster as he was opening the business.

Witnesses gave police a description of the suspects and their vehicle. Officers then chased the suspects onto the Kennedy Expressway.

The vehicle crashed near California Avenue.

The suspects tried to run away but were arrested.
