A group of about 200 people protested outside City Hall Wednesday over the changes in Chicago's parking meters. The protesters hoped to get the attention of city council members. They're upset over parking meter hikes, expansion and privatization.

Many of the protesters also don't want meters installed outside a community center along Commercial Avenue.

However, a member of the South Chicago Chamber of Commerce has previously argued the meters would actually help retailers by freeing up more space for shoppers.

Protesters also plan to deliver a petition to the mayor.
