The Cook County Sheriff's Department is investigating at another cemetery after a skull was found in south suburban Homewood. A sheriff's department spokesperson says the skull was discovered near the pauper's graves at Homewood Memorial Gardens.

Officials said it was several feet from a hole in the ground that had animal tracks around it.

The spokesperson says the skull was brought to the attention of the sheriff's department by someone who has a lawsuit pending against the cemetery.

ABC7 was unable to reach cemetery officials for comment
