Sentencing for man charged in Loop assaults

The man accused in a string of random attacks in the Loop will spend the next seven years in a mental facility.Gregory Perdue was sentenced Friday. He had been found not guilty by reason of insanity.

Perdue was accused of punching six people, including ABC7's Chicago's Cheryl Burton, as he walked through the Loop in April 2008.

A judge ordered that he be re-evaluated every 90 days.
