Sox go scoreless 14 innings, lose

August 13, 2009 (SEATTLE) The Sox and Seattle Mariners went into extra innings out in Seattle.

The game was scoreless all the way into the 14th inning when former White Sox player Ken Griffey Jr. lined a single off the right-field wall to give the Mariners a 1-0 win.

This was the longest scoreless game for the Sox since 1975 when they lost 3-0 in 16 innings against the L.A. Angels.

The game ended just after 1 a.m. CST, lasting three hours, 52 minutes.
