Anti-flooding construction on Borman to begin soon

August 13, 2009 (CHICAGO) The Indiana Department of Transportation will install a storm water pumping station near the Borman Expressway in Hammond. It will be located southeast of the Kennedy Avenue interchange.

Flooding has closed the Borman twice in the past two years.

Work is expected to begin in October, but it will be off the roadway, so construction should have little impact on traffic
