Rock students remember Woodstock

August 15, 2009 (CHICAGO) Students from the Paul Green School of Rock put on a free concert at Wells Park, featuring favorites from the first Woodstock. Some of the musicians dressed in 1960-inspired clothes.

The G-rated Woodstock tribute featured musicians ranging in age from 7 to 17. The event, which was endorsed by Woodstock creator Michael Lang, is part of the official 40th anniversary Woodstock celebration.

ABC7 Chicago is told the School of Rock was an inspiration for the movie of the same name. Students from the school have performed in front of 2 million people in shows across the country.
