August 22, 2009 (CHICAGO) --Some Chicago Muslims marked the beginning of Ramadan Saturday by taking part in a 'day of dignity.'The Iman Center on West 63rd Street hosted a back-to-school event with fun games, but kids could also receive free health screenings and school supplies. Families could also buy produce at a farmer's market.
Ramadan is a month of spirituality, service and self-reflection. It's also a time when Muslims fast during the day.
