Touring Chicago

August 25, 2009 The Hop On, Hop Off Signature Tour has added new tour routes. The new tours include:

The South Neighborhoods Tour adds stops at the impressive DuSable Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry. During the lively new tour, guides weave in stories and highlights about President Obama's Chicago experiences and connections

The North Neighborhoods Tour travels to Wrigley Field (day games excluded). This allows guests the unique opportunity to hop off and purchase an insider's tour of historic Wrigley Field. The route also includes stops at the Chicago History Museum, Lincoln Park Zoo, and Blue Man Group's Briar Street Theatre

The West Neighborhoods Tour offers a peak into the cultural diversity Chicago offers. This tour visits key destinations from Greektown to the Oprah Store and adjacent Harpo Studios, to Chinatown and Little Italy

Other perks for riders this season include complimentary t-shirts, Garrett's Popcorn and Hersheys Bars with ticket purchase

The Chicago Trolley and Double Decker buses offer riders a different perspective of the city in two ways:

-It's a different view of the city while riding 30 feet in the air on top of a double decker bus

-An unconventional approach to our tour guides. Our tour operators are entertainers and we do not script the tours. The variety of personalities leading the tours allow riders to see and hear about the city through different eyes each time they hop on or off the Signature Tour. Riders get a chance to learn something new even if they pass the same destination more than once.

Our tour guides share fun facts about landmarks we see everyday that even the lifelong Chicagoan probably doesn't know.

For ticket purchases and more information, visit www.chicagotrolley.com or phone 773-648-5000. Rates for all-day tour access are: adults $29; $24 for seniors 65 and older and military; $17 for children ages 3 to 11 (and kids receive two extra days free).
