August 26, 2009 (CHICAGO) --Students, teachers and parents from the Pulaski Fine Arts Academy are upset with what they call a plan by the board of education to phase the school out. The group marched from the Northwest Side school to CPS headquarters in the Loop. They say their school is not underperforming and should remain open. They want the school board to hear their dissent.
The board is considering using the school building to house what would be a new International Baccalaureate school serving the Bucktown neighborhood.
