The casket that once held Emmett Till's body will become an exhibit at the Smithsonian's planned National Museum Of African American History.During the investigation of alleged re-selling at Burr Oak Cemetery, officials found Till's casket rusting in a shed. (WATCH: Till's casket found rottting)The 14-year-old was murdered in 1955 for allegedly whistling at a white woman.
His murder became a rallying cry for the civil rights movement.
Till's family is expected to make an announcement Friday, the 54th anniversary of his murder.
