Midlothian man killed in Colorado crash

A Midlothian man was killed in a traffic accident in Colorado as he was heading to greet his son who had just returned from military service in Iraq. The accident happened Thursday in the northeast part of Colorado near Fort Carson.

Fifty-five-year-old Donnie Ferguson died at the scene.

Ferguson and his wife were on their way to see their son. Twenty-three-year-old Chris Ferguson is a soldier and newlywed. He just landed at Fort Carson early Friday morning after a year's deployment in Iraq.

Donnie Ferguson's wife, Carole Ferguson, was at the wheel when she lost control of the van she was driving and it rolled over. She has been charged with a misdemeanor count of careless driving.
