August 28, 2009 --The ripple effect from the recession is being felt at many animal shelters in the Chicago area. Felines Incorporated is a no-kill cat shelter in Chicago. The operator says over the last four weeks it has been inundated with pets being returned by owners who can no longer afford them. The shelter is desperately trying to find homes for them.
