September 3, 2009 --People with type-2 diabetes are not consuming sufficiently healthy diets, according to a new study by researchers at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. They followed the eating habits of more than 2,700 people with type-2 diabetes. Researchers found that 93 percent of participants exceeded the recommended percentage of daily calories from fat. Less that half met the minimum recommended daily servings of fruits and vegetables.
Researchers say the study was done to see what people with type-2 diabetes were eating to make them overweight.
