Sept. 6, 2009 (CHICAGO) --The Labor Day holiday impacts several public services Monday. Among them, all banks and financial markets are closed for the day. There is also no postal service running, and all government offices will be closed.
Monday is also the last day of the season for several lakefront beaches.
Remember, if you park at any of the meters in Chicago on Monday, you have to pay. The "free" meter holiday went away when the city leased the meters to a private company.
