Hours after the accident, ABC7 Chicago found a person praying before a candle at the spot where the Kenig was hit.
The driver remained at the scene and has been cited for the deadly accident.

Sept. 6, 2009 (CHICAGO) The crash happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. Sunday in the 6100 block of North Sacramento. Police say Ester Kenig was riding past an alley as a car was exiting the alley, and it struck her.
