Sheriff: Beason family not shot to death

Autopsies complete, no details released
September 23, 2009 (BEASON, Ill.) The bodies of Raymond and Ruth Gee, 46 and 39, respectively, and three of their children- Justina Constant, 16, Dillen Constant, 14; and Austin Gee, 11- were found Monday in their rural home. One child, a three-year-old girl, is hospitalized. She has been identified as Tabitha Gee by her grandmother.

Investigators have not named a suspect, but said they are looking for a gray Ford Ranger or F-10 pickup truck in connection to the crime in Logan County.

"The one distinct mark on this vehicle is that it was a gray, primered vehicle with chrome exhaust pipes coming out of the bed of the truck. Most will come out toward the front of the truck, behind the cab. These pipes come out extended back in the bed of the truck, so this is going to give a little different view," said Logan County Sheriff Steven Nichols.

The coroner, Bob Thomas, said autopsies are completed on the five bodies. The findings were not released, though Sheriff Nichols did say the family was not shot to death as first thought.
