"My opponent, hopefully, he will get the message and withdraw from this race, I have the experience to do this job and we can do it well," said Shaw.
Berrios responded by saying, "anybody who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones."
Berrios is Cook County Democratic chairman and a board of review commissioner.
