Heirloom Tomatoes with Avocado, Chile, Lime & Oregano (Salad)

Recipe by: Michael Shrader, Executive Chef, N9NE SteakhouseIngredients:
  • 2 ea heirloom tomatoes, med-thick sliced
  • 1/4 small red onion (very finely shaved)
  • 1/2 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1 ea jalapeno chile (very finely shaved, leave in seeds for heat)
  • 1ea fresh lime
  • 1 sprig oregano, picked, rough chopped
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Directions:

    1. Arrange tomatoes onto serving platter or plates

    2. Squeeze lime juice over tomatoes, salt and pepper

    3. On tomatoes, layer with avocados, red onions and chilies

    4. Squeeze, again, lime over and lightly season

    5. Pour generous amount of extra virgin olive oil over everything on plate

    6. Sprinkle oregano over top and adjust final seasoning

    7. Enjoy!
